Product Overview
Walter Loge is as an ambulance driver for the Germans during World War II. And he is captured by the Russians. Trying to escap again, and again, his adventures are many and varried as he attempts to find his family again. From walking down a country road with Russian peasant girls singing the Sabbath School song, "Always Cheerful," to playing the Russian balalaika for the prisoners in an attempt to cheer them up, Walter is always upbeat; and ALWAYS has faith in God.
"This is not just another war story, or merely another chapter in the long, bitter story of man's inhumanity to man...It is not simply a dreary chronicle of mesery and brutality, nor is it written to remind us that war brings suffering to the innocent and arouses the worst of human passions.
